HACAP is the designated Community Action Agency that serves east central Iowa by offering a diverse array of services for low-income families, individuals, and Veterans. Affordable Housing, Head Start Early/Head Start, Energy Assistance (LIHEAP), Weatherization, and HACAP Food Reservoir which distributes food to partners such as CommUnity Crisis Center, Table to Table, and other local nonprofit organizations that serve meals, are the main programs that HACAP operates in the Johnson County area.
