DVIP and RVAP provide supportive services to victims of domestic violence, sexual violence, dating violence, stalking and human trafficking. They provide the following free and confidential crisis intervention services: 24-hour safe shelter and hotline; advocacy with law enforcement, courts, medical and social services; counseling and support groups; housing services; youth support services; volunteer opportunities; and community education. We serve the following eastern Iowa counties: Johnson, Washington, Cedar, Des Moines, Henry, Iowa, Lee, and Van Buren. Services are available for victims/survivors and their partners, friends, and family members. This includes but is not limited to individuals of any age, gender, identity, culture, etc. DVIP/RVAP believes our community has the right to live free of fear and harm.
